Exercises for Vibrato – Women
Bonus Exercises
The first three exercises in these categories are the same as the course topics. Exercises four and above are bonus exercises for you to download and practice. Individual MP3’s are listed below. The MP3 for each category is at the bottom of the page.
Beginner Exercises – Pitches in chest to first note in bridge
1. 5-Tone Up with gee and sustain vibrato on the top and come back down.
2. 5-Tone Down with she and sustain the top note with vibrato and go down the scale.
3. On a ⅕ interval up on “oh – ho” and sustain the top note and come down.
4. 5-Tone up on go.
5. 5-Tone up on “puh” and sustain vibrato on the top and come back down.
6. 5-Tone up on TT and and sustain vibrato on the “e” and come back down.
7. 5-Tone up on “she” and and sustain vibrato on the “she” and come back down.
Intermediate Exercises
1. Octave up on hooty “oo” with sustain with Vibrato
2. Octave up on “oo” to “oh” vowel change with V keep it going through each.
3. Octave up on “ee” with sustain with Vibrato.
4. Octave up with vowel change Ee, oo (good), uh (beet, book, buck) with mix and consistent vibrato.
Advanced Exercises
Women start above the second bridge and work through the bottom of the first bridge.
1. Octave Up with Vowel change “ney” to n[ae] (bat) sustaining with vibrato staying in mix.
2. Octave Up with Vowel change “gee” to “gay” sustaining with vibrato staying in mix.
3. Octave Repeat “muh” with sustain with vibrato.
Exercises To Speed up Vibrato
1. On Octave Up With Hooty “e”, roll tongue into a hooty “e” and sustain with vibrato.
2. On Octave Up With Hooty “she”, and sustain with vibrato.
3. 5-Tone Down begin with sustaining hooty “e” and go down.
4. 5-Tone Down begin with sustaining tongue trill into “e”.
5. 5-Tone Up with sustain at the top with hooty “e”.
6. 5-Tone down with Sustain at the top with hooty “she”.
